Indian student drowned in Dallas lake
Dallas, Texas: Linto Philip, 23, an international student from India drowned while he was kayaking with friends Saturday afternoon on Lake Ray Hubbard.
Linto Philip ‘drifted into troubled waters and capsized’ before he went underwater, police said.
Dallas police, Dallas Fire-Rescue and the Texas Game Warden came to the scene Saturday afternoon and recovered Philip's body, according to Dallas News. He was pronounced dead at an area hospital.
A friend of Philip's, Harsh Gosar, said in an email that Philip was had been earning a master's degree at the University of Texas at Dallas.
He is the son of PM Philip, who works in Dubai.
