Yoddha's official partner wishes team luck for play-offs

Greater Noida, Oct 12

The official partner of UP Yoddha team -- Itel, a mobile phone brand -- has congratulated the team for their third win in the last home leg of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) as the Nitesh Kumar-led side defeated defending champions Bengaluru Bulls 45-33.

Yoddha's notched up their 13th big win in the tournament and have risen in the points table to third position.

"The sons of soil -- Yoddhas played like true warriors which resulted in their victory putting up an excellent display of team effort, strategical approach and coordination etc. during both the matches. The team truly reflects agility, strength, appeal to the hinterland and created magic on the battle ground," a statement from the team's official partner said and wished luck to the side for the play-offs stage.

The Yoddhas won 13 of their 22 league games and bagged 74 points to enter the next stage of the league. The team's next match is scheduled with the same opponent in the first eliminator on October 14 at Eka Arena in Ahmedabad.
