IndiGo flight makes emergency landing in Chennai
Chennai, Nov 1: A smoke alarm onboard an IndiGo flight to Kuwait with 150 passengers made an emergency landing on Friday at the Anna International Airport here soon after it took off.
According to airport officials, the pilot noticed a smoke alarm in the cargo section and returned back after around 30 minutes into the flight to make an emergency landing.
The flight had taken off at about 1.20 a.m.
The budget carrier passengers were accommodated in another aircraft and which left for Kuwait about 4.30 a.m.
According to the airline, the pilot noticed the smoke alarm going off in the cargo compartment and as a precaution decided to return to Chennai.
On checking after landing, it was found to be a false alarm.
