4,969 people turn Covid positive in Kerala, 60,851 samples tested
Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 17 Another 4,969 people turned Covid positive in Kerala on Thursday after 60,851 samples was tested in the past 24 hours.
A statement issued here by state Health Minister K.K. Shailaja said at present there are 58,155 active cases, while 4,970 people turned negative taking the total cured in the state to 6,27,364 with 27 Covid deaths taking the toll to 2,734.
Across the state, 2,96,747 people are under observation at various places which included 13,358 people at hospitals. There are 453 hot spots in the state.
