Untitled (poem-Jaya G Nair)
You walk away
Trampling on my soul
Nonchalant, heedless
Brushing the dust from your dress.
I lay motionless
Not breathing, not feeling
Nor being
Empty both inside and out
Everything given up.
Oh what may happen now -
Will the clock tick again?
Can the rain tiptoe inside
Slowly, softly one more time
And wash the blood off the world?
Will there be a normal day
Ever again?
Or is everything already over?
Oh, maybe
Just maybe
It’s the cusp of Time
That crushes
As it turns one around…
