Second edition of TheTechForGood awards recognises promising education and healthcare organisations
New Delhi, March 16
In recent years, technology has dramatically changed the landscape of healthcare and education sectors, resulting in the emergence of new-age firms. Considering this, the NASSCOM Foundation, in partnership with CGI, recently awarded promising firms at the TheTechForGood Awards 2021.
Companies such as THINKZONE, Pratham Infotech Foundation, Padcare Labs, and ARSI were among 14 winners which leverage technology to create solutions that help build a better and more sustainable society.
Other winners include GingerMind.ai, WinVinaya Foundation, Infosys Ltd, M.S. Swaminathan Research Foundation, Clairco, Tata Community Initiatives Trust, LetsEndorse Development, and SmartGaon Development.
"NASSCOM Foundation has been championing tech-led transformation for the past two decades. Our aim through TechForGood Awards is to mentor, accelerate, and provide a platform that puts a spotlight on impact-driven entrepreneurs, both from for-profit and not-for-profit enterprises," said Nidhi Bhasin, CEO, NASSCOM Foundation.
This year's awards received over 500 applications from across the country, from which 39 were shortlisted under seven key categories -- Accessibility, Livelihoods, Healthcare, Disaster Management, Education, Environment and Covid-19.
"We're committed to positively contribute to the well-being of our communities by leveraging our IT and business expertise to support social impact projects," said George Mattackal, President, CGI Asia Pacific Global Delivery Centers of Excellence.
The second edition of TheTechForGood Awards 2021 comes months after the foundation released India's first Tech for Good report. The report contains insights from the inputs received from 548 organisations: 305 non-governmental organisations (NGOs), 124 social enterprises and startups, and 119 corporates.
Established in 2001, NASSCOM Foundation has been witness to the transformative power of technology for the last 20 years. Part of the NASSCOM ecosystem, the foundation is the only neutral, not-for-profit outfit, representing the Indian tech Industry.
