New Delhi, May 26
Great Place to Work, a global authority on workplace culture, recently celebrated the first edition of Certification Nation Day in India along with the community of Great Place to work-certified organisations across the country.
More than one lakh employees from different organisations celebrated this day across the country.
The celebration witnessed participation from organisations across industries, including IT, manufacturing and FMCG.
To make the event fun and memorable, Great Place to Work, India, also ran a social media contest within the certified organisations, encouraging them to showcase their innovative and creative skills on social media platforms.
Many companies participated by displaying ingenious video posts and even posted heartfelt messages for their employees, reaffirming their commitment to nurturing great workplaces.
Speaking on the occasion, Yeshasvini Ramaswamy, CEO, Great Place to Work India, said, "We are overwhelmed with the response received from the Indian organisation in the debut year of Certification Nation Day. In recent years, India has emerged as one of the major players on the global map and we expect this growth to continue in the coming times. We are looking forward to certifying more Indian firms and are hopeful to foresee increased participation from organisations in the coming years."
Globally, the initiative, Certification Nation Day, began four years ago with an aim to celebrate organisations awarded with the 'Great Place to Work Certification'.
It is celebrated to acknowledge the hard work of organisations, their employees and the future-ready culture they foster.
On this day, companies pledge to continue creating a high trust and high-performance workplace culture. The day is commemorated worldwide in countries like Australia, the US, the UK and Singapore, among many others.
Congratulating the certified organisations, Yeshasvini Ramaswamy added, "The dedication of the organisations in building a strong great workplace is the testimony that culture has to be a leadership agenda moving well beyond the HR agenda. Today, as we strive to make India a great place to work for all, the participation of each and every certified organisation is significant and we are grateful for this commitment."
Great Place to Work accords 1500 Indian organisations with certification every year.
The certification provided to companies is an attestation of the exceptionally good work done by them for their employees.
It is a title that is recognised worldwide by employees and employers alike, and it has become a global benchmark for identifying outstanding employee experience.
