Hindus worldwide elated over Rishi Sunak’s announcement as next UK Prime Minister
Hindus worldwide are jubilant over Rishi Sunak's announcement as next and first devout Hindu Prime Minister (PM) of United Kingdom (UK).
Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, said that the community worldwide is overjoyed with Sunak's rise as PM of UK.
Rajan Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, hoped that Sunak as PM would observe Hindu values of ethical and virtuous governance, benignity, compassion, courage and fearlessness, fair-mindedness, integrity and sincerity, justice, openness, perseverance, purity of mind, selflessness, taking care of all especially the weak, transparency, unwavering morality, etc.
Hinduism is the oldest and third largest religion of the world with about 1.2 billion adherents, and moksh (liberation) is its ultimate goal.
