Two brothers arrested for attacking Delhi Police constable with surgical blade
New Delhi, June 28
Two brothers were arrested for attacking an on-duty Delhi Police head constable (HC) with a surgical blade in the city's Mayapuri area, an official said on Wednesday.
According to police, HC Vikrant and constable Harish were patrolling the jhuggi clusters of Rewari Line on Tuesday as part of a drive to nab active criminals
“While the two were checking for Bad Characters (BCs), Vikrant was attacked by Vishal and his brother Krishna with the surgical blade. Although Vikrant managed to deflect the attack but sustained an injury on his hand,†the official said.
Harish intervened and both of them managed to overpower Vishal and Krishna.
“During a search, a push button knife was also recovered from Krishna's possession. A case has been registered at Mayapuri police station and both the accused have been arrested,†said the official.
According to the police, Vishal is a BC of the area and Krishna was also involved in a previous criminal case.
