In Plainsboro, NJ, Sonal Singh and two children perished in apparent murder-suicide

Plainsboro, New Jersey: Police authorities have identified the four members of a family who were discovered dead inside a  house in Plainsboro, New Jersey.  

Early Wednesday, Tej Pratap Singh, 43, and Sonal Parihar, 42,  along with their two kids, a 10 year boy and 6 year old girl, were discovered dead inside their house in Plainsboro Township, New Jersey's 12 Lane, Titus Lane.  

Tej Pratap Singh was a senior technology executive at Ness Digital Engineering. A spokesperson for the prosecutor's office said only that the incident was "not a shooting," and the cause of deaths have yet to be determined by the medical examiner. It is, however, being investigated as a homicide case, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Plainsboro Police Chief Eamon Blanchard said. 

"This tragedy remains under investigation and autopsies are being performed today," authorities said in a press statement on Thursday, Oct. 5.

Police were called to the home around 4:40 p.m. Wednesday for a welfare check when they found the four bodies, Blanchard and Ciccone said.

Inside the house, two adults and two children's bodies were discovered by the responding police. The children attended two different schools. One attended the Wicoff School. The other was taking classes at the Millstone River School.      

Tej Pratap Singh  was born in India. He received his degree from Kanpur's Indian Institute of Technology.

Singh and Parihar purchased the Titus Road home in Aug. 2018 for $635,000, records showed.
