Thalapathy Vijay partakes in Puja to commence shooting of 'Thalapathy 68'
Chennai, Oct 24
Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay is barely done with his action-thriller film ‘Leo’ which has already become quite the raging success. However, less than a week later, the Tamil star is now already gearing up for his next project which currently goes by the working title ‘Thalapathy 68’.
To inaugurate the project, the film’s whole cast took part in a pooja to commence its shooting.
On October 24, marking the occasion of Vijayadasami, the makers shared a video from the pooja ceremony. They wrote on their X account: "On this auspicious day #Thalapathy68 @actorvijay Sir's #PadaPoojai video is hereâ€
Most of the crew was dressed in very simple clothes as the pooja was a very simple affair, and as such was done in a very humble fashion. As the movie’s crew, which included actors, producers, among others stepped out, Vijay finally arrived donning casual clothes.
The crew met each other as the star went on to welcome his co-stars Prabhu Deva, Prashanth, Sneha, Jayaram, Premji, Vaibhav, Ajay Raj, Aravind Akash, Mohan, Laila, VTV Ganesh, Ameer, and Yogi Babu, along with the rest of the crew.
Afterwards, Thalapathy sought blessings from Lord Ganesha and sported a small chandan teeka on his head, he was blessed by the priests.
However, Thalapathy is not the only one who is commencing one big project after the success of another as his co-star Yogi Babu is doing the same thing.
The actor was just seen in an important supporting role in Thalaivar Rajinikanth’s blockbuster film ‘Jailer’. So for Yogi Babu, this is one big project after another, much like it is for Thalapathy after ‘Leo’.
The movie’s star cast consists of Thalapathy Vijay, Prashanth, 'Mic' Mohan, Laila, Sneha, Meenakshi Chaudhury, Prabhudeva, Jayaram, and Yogi Babu, all of whom would be playing pivotal roles in the project.
‘Thalapathy 68’ is helmed by veteran director Venkat Prabhu who has also co-written its screenplay with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
2023 is marking the commencement of several big projects one after the other for various South actors, as Rajinikanth is now on-board for his next untitled feature ‘Thalaivar 171’ while Kannada superstar Kiccha Sudeepa is doing the film ‘K46’, and Telugu star Nani doing ‘Nani 31’ whose title was revealed recently to be ‘Saripoddda Sarivaaram’.
