In Ernakulam, a school building collapsed, averting a major disaster. The building that collapsed was of the Kandanad G.B. School in Udayamperoor. The collapsed building housed an Anganwadi. The collapsed building included the Anganwadi classroom and the room where mid-day meals were distributed. The incident occurred at 9:30 in the morning. The children were just arriving at the school. Though two children had arrived, they were playing in the courtyard. That is why a major accident was avoided.
