A case has been registered against CPM workers who attacked the police during a temple festival. The clash took place last night at Manolikavu in Thalassery, Kannur. During the incident, CPM workers launched an attack on the police, injuring four officers, including the Thalassery SI.
The police have registered an FIR against 27 CPM workers. According to the FIR, they allegedly threatened that they were the ones governing Kerala and that the police should not overstep their boundaries. The police also stated that the clash was triggered when CPM workers started chanting slogans within the temple premises.
