Accident during temple fireworks; five injured; one in critical condition.
A country-made firecracker fell among people and exploded during temple fireworks, causing an accident. The incident took place early this morning at Neerkadavu Muchiriyan Temple in Azhikode, Kannur.
Five people were injured in the accident, with one in critical condition. The firecracker, which was supposed to go up, failed to explode in the air and instead fell among the crowd before bursting. Reports indicate that a 12-year-old child was among the injured. The injured individuals have been admitted to the hospital.
