Massive Fire in London; Heathrow Airport Closed, Flights Diverted
A fire broke out at the North Hyde electrical substation in Hayes, Hillingdon Borough, which supplies electricity to London’s Heathrow Airport. As a result, the airport has been closed until midnight on March 21. The incident is expected to affect over 1,000 flight operations.
The fire also caused a power outage affecting more than 16,000 homes in the area. Airport officials have warned of significant disruptions in the coming days, with reports indicating that over 1,000 passengers are stranded at the airport.
