According to a note from the PMO, the new Pamban Bridge in Rameswaram brings together tradition and technology. The bridge was constructed by Rail Vikas Nigam Limited, the engineering arm of Indian Railways, at a cost of ₹535 crore. The new bridge, which is 2.08 kilometers long and six meters above sea level, has been designed with advanced features.
