Texas GOP Chairman Abraham George Announces Re-Election Bid
Austin, TX —
Republican Party of Texas Chairman Abraham George has officially announced his candidacy for re-election, citing major legislative victories and organizational growth achieved under his leadership.
In a statement released on Monday, George highlighted what he described as unprecedented results delivered by Texas Republicans during his tenure. He pointed to a historic lawsuit filed by the Republican Party of Texas aimed at closing party primaries, a move intended to protect the integrity of Republican nominations and ensure that only registered Republicans participate in selecting party candidates.
“This landmark legal action represents our commitment to preserving the voice of actual Republican voters,” George said.
Chairman George also underscored the party’s legislative success during the most recent Texas legislative session, noting that Republicans passed 43 priority bills. He described the achievement as a testament to the unity and strength of the conservative movement in the state.
Additionally, George highlighted the expansion of Republican majorities in both the Texas House and Senate, further solidifying the party’s dominance in the Lone Star State.
Looking ahead, George expressed optimism about the future of Texas Republicanism, stating that the party is preparing to work with what he described as an even more conservative 90th Texas Legislature to advance core conservative values.
“The future of Texas Republicanism has never been brighter, and I’m honored to continue leading this fight,” he said.
George emphasized that the work ahead requires experienced and proven leadership committed to conservative principles and party strength, as he seeks another term as chairman of the Republican Party of Texas.
