In a celebration of nostalgia, music, and cinematic ambition, the much-anticipated feature film Rahul, Dev & Burman was officially launched with a grand Mahurat ceremony conducted in an old traditional style at NT1 Studio, Kolkata — the historic heartland of Indian cinema.

Directed by Ashish Kumar and co-written by Sanyukta Ghosh, Rahul, Dev & Burman marks a historic first in Bengali cinema—a full-length feature film built entirely around the original voice and soundtrack of the legendary R.D. Burman. The narrative draws emotional depth and structure from seven iconic songs:
“Phire Elam Dure Giye… Ami Tomar Anuradha…”,
“Mone Pore Ruby Ray…”,
“Shono Ei To Shomoy…”,
“Shono Mon Boli Tomay, Shob Koro Prem Korona…”,
“Bolo Ki Achhe Go Tomari Ankhite…”,
“Tumi Koto Je Dure…”,
“Tomate Amate Dekha Hoyechhilo…”

These timeless melodies form the soul of a deeply emotional story about friendship, love, and memory. The film follows three inseparable friends—Rahul, Dev, and Burman—whose lives intertwine through their shared love for Anuradha, inspired by the iconic song. Alongside this, the character of Ruby Ray emerges as a nostalgic presence that resonates across generations, capturing the innocence of youth and the passage of time.

The film features a strong ensemble cast including Adrit Roy, John Bhattacharya, Neel Bhattacharya, and Angana Roy in lead roles. Raima Sen appears in a special role, supported by acclaimed actors Subhashish Mukherjee, Laboni Sarkar, Biswanath Basu, and others.

The project boasts a talented technical team:
