Hindu Statesman Rajan Zed Offers Prayers and Good Wishes for Hospitalized Norwegian King Harald
Distinguished Hindu statesman Rajan Zed has offered heartfelt prayers and warm wishes for the swift and complete recovery of His Majesty King Harald V of Norway following his hospitalization.
Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, said that his thoughts and prayers were with King Harald and his family during this difficult time. Such moments called for compassion and solidarity across borders and religious traditions, adding that the entire family should draw strength from the outpouring of support during this challenging period.
Rajan Zed conveyed on behalf of the Hindu community around the world sincere wishes for the King's healing, renewed health, strength, wellbeing; and for peace and comfort to be with Her Majesty Queen Sonja, Crown Prince Haakon, and all members of the Royal Family of Norway during this trying time.
Zed emphasized that prayer transcended cultural, national and religious boundaries; bringing people together in moments of illness and uncertainty. He said that Hindu prayers sought health, peace and well-being for all; and he extended these sentiments to King Harald and the people of Norway.
Rajan Zed noted that King Harald’s commitment to inclusion, mutual understanding and unity had earned him respect far beyond the borders of Norway.
Compassion and solidarity were central to Hindu teachings, and moments like these reminded humanity of its shared bonds; Zed pointed out.
