Petition filed against Pakistan cricket team's poor performance
Islamabad, Feb 23 : Lahore High Court (LHC) Monday admitted a petition against the poor performance of the Pakistani team during the ongoing cricket World Cup.
The team has lost both its matches so far, the first was to India and the second to the West Indies.
The petitioner has named Prime Minster Nawaz Sharif, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shahryar Ahmed Khan and PCB board member Najam Sethi as respondents in the case, Dawn online reported.
The petitioner has questioned the team’s dismal performance in the World Cup 2015 and has asked the court to investigate the possible causes behind the collapse.
LHC's Justice Ijazul Hassan will hear the case Feb 24.
