Gorgeous' Madhuri Dixit turns 48

Actress Madhuri Dixit turned 48
on Friday and has been wished a year full of happiness by Hindi film
fraternity members, who find her "gorgeous" and inspirational.
Madhuri
ventured into Hindi cinema in 1984 with "Abodh" directed by Hiten Nag
and received wider public recognition with the film "Tezaab" in 1988.
She
established herself as a leading actress of Bollywood with films like
"Ram Lakhan","Parinda", "Dil", "Saajan", "Beta", "Khalnayak", "Hum Aapke
Hain Koun!", "Dil To Pagal Hai" and "Devdas". She was also honoured
with the Padma Shri in 2008 for her contribution to Indian cinema.
Last
seen in Vishal Bharadwaj's "Dedh Ishqiya" and Anubhav Sinha's "Gulab
Gang", Madhuri also appears on the small screen as a judge of dance
reality show "Jhalak Dikhla Jaa". She also runs an online dance academy
of her own.
