Sensex up 44 points; consumer durables stocks gain
Mumbai, May 28 A benchmark index of Indian equities markets, the 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex), on Thursday was trading 44 points or 0.16 percent up during the morning session.
The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading 15.25 points or 0.18 percent up at 8,349.85 points.
The Sensex of the S&P Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 27,619.31 points, was trading at 27,608.66 points (at 9.27 a.m.) in the early session, up 44 points or 0.16 percent from the previous day's close at 27,564.66 points.
The Sensex touched a high of 27,666.37 points and a low of 27,599.78 points in the trade so far.
Good buying was seen in consumer durables, realty and oil and gas sectors.
