Wedding bells for actress Saranya Mohan
Chennai, July 15 Southern actress Saranya Mohan, who secretly got engaged to Trivandrum-based doctor Aravind Krishnan last week, will enter into wedlock on September 6.
Saranya announced her engagement on her Facebook page.
"It's an arranged marriage. The reason we got engaged in a hurry was because of the impending arrival of the Malayalam month of Karidakam, which is not considered very auspicious for ceremonies. Hence, the engagement was a private affair," Saranya told IANS.
"The engagement was only attended by our families and very close friends. The wedding will take place on September 6 in Kerala," she said.
Saranya says her husband and in-laws don't expect her to stop acting post marriage. But she has other plans.
"I don't think I'll continue doing films. I want to focus more on dance and music," she added.
Born to classical dancers, Saranya is a trained Bharatanatyam dancer.
She has worked in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu industries.
Some of her best films include "Yaaradi Nee Mohini", "Eeram", "Bheemili Kabbadi Jattu", "Chemistry" and "Nadakame Ulakam".
She has also worked in the Hindi film "Badlapur Boys".
