Sensex provisionally closes 464 points up
Mumbai, March 2 A benchmark index of Indian equities markets, the 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex), on Wednesday provisionally closed 463.63 points or 1.95 percent up. The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) also closed 146.55 points or 2.03 percent up at 7,368.85 points. The Sensex of the S&P Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 24,044.96 points, closed provisionally at 24,242.98 points (at 03.30 p.m.) -- up 463.63 points or 1.95 percent from the previous day's close at 23,779.35 points. The Sensex has touched a high of 24,280.42 points and a low of 24,043.89 points during the intra-day trade.
