Pay hike for Wipro techies from June 1
Bengaluru, May 30 : Software major Wipro Ltd is increasing salaries for its eligible employees and rewarding high performers with more pay from June 1.
"The average salary hike will be 9.5 percent for offshore and 2 percent for onsite employees. High performers will be rewarded with higher increase in compensation," said Wipro human resources head Saurabh Govil in a statement here on Monday.
The company did not disclose how many techies are eligible for the hike or gave breakup of how many of them are located at offshore and onsite, with clients or at its overseas development facilities.
The company's IT services business added 2,248 people in fourth quarter of 2015-16, taking its headcount to 172,219 from 158,217 in like period of 2014-15.
