Mamic resigns from Croatian Football Federation
Zagreb (Croatia) July 26 : Zdravko Mamic, former head of Dinamo Zagreb, who is under investigation for alleged embezzlement, has resigned as vice president of the Croatian Football Federation, or HNS.
In a statement posted on the HNS website on Tuesday, Mamic said his decision to retire from Dinamo was made months ago and on Monday he decided to leave the federation with the aim of easing the work of both.
He said he does not want to be the reason used to lessen the successes of Dinamo or the HNS, reports Efe.
Mamic faces several lawsuits for alleged embezzlement, particularly in the transfer of players to foreign clubs.
