Lok Sabha adjourned till 12 noon
New Delhi, Nov 23: The Lok Sabha was adjourned till noon on Wednesday as opposition continued to demand a debate on demonetisation under an adjournment motion, which would allow voting following the debate.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was present in the house when Lok Sabha assembled at 11 a.m.
Opposition members trooped near Speaker Sumitra Mahajan's podium soon after the house met.
"Congress has been in power for 60 years. This behaviour does not suit them. This is against the rules, they should not do this," Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar said.
"They must go back to there places so that we can discuss the move made against black money lead by Modiji. Discuss it, we are ready for debate. Why are you forcing adjournments?" he said.
As opposition members continued to create an uproar, the Speaker adjourned the house till noon.
