Modi pays tribute to Babasaheb Ambedkar on death anniversary
New Delhi, Dec 6: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday paid tribute to Babasaheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar on his 61st death anniversary, which is being observed as 'Nirvan Diwas'.
"I bow to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar on his Nirvan Diwas. India will always be thankful to Babasaheb for his rich service to the nation," Modi said in a tweet.
Babasaheb Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Indian Constitution, died on December 6, 1956.
He was born on April 14, 1891 in Mhow district of Madhya Pradesh.
