Centre blocking note ban debate in Parliament: Mamata
Kolkata, Dec 9: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday accused the Centre of not allowing the opposition to raise the demonetisation issue in the Lok Sabha.
"This is most unfortunate. The opposition parties wanted to speak on demonetisation and run the house. Why did the government not allow the opposition?" Banerjee said in a tweet.
The Lok Sabha was disrupted again on Friday over the demonetisation that has caused widespread cash crunch.
Taking a dig at the central government's push for cashless economy, the Trinamool Congress chief said that the real motive behind demonetising the 500 and 1,000 rupee notes was now out in the open.
"This means the cat is out of the bag. The cashless have now become faceless," she added.
