Aman Kapoor himself is
a byproduct of the system, having arrived in the United States from
India on an H-1B visa for an engineering job in 1997. It took him 12
years to get a green card. Kapoor said heâ€™s now a â€œproud American
citizenâ€ but said he realizes his role in contributing to the current
problem. â€œKnowing what I know today, if I could reverse my life, I would
not come back,â€ he said.
