17 killed in Zambia bus accident
Lusaka, May 24: At least 17 persons were killed and 48 injured when the driver lost control of a bus and it overturned in Lusaka in Zambia, the police said on Wednesday.
The accident took place on Tuesday when the driver of the bus, en route from Lusaka to the eastern region, failed to negotiate a curve, Xinhua news agency quoted police spokesman Esther Mwaata-Katongo as saying.
The injured people have been admitted to two local hospitals.
