CAS dismiss Tatyana Chernova's appeal, upholds 44-month ban
Lausanne, July 19: Sport's leading tribunal dismissed the appeal by Russian heptathlete Tatyana Chernova against a 44-month ban.
The 29-year-old Chernova, who won the bronze medal at Beijing's 2008 and London 2012 Summer Olympics, was handed on November 29, 2016 a ban for three years and eight months for doping, starting from February 5, 2016, reports Efe.
Chernova's results have been annulled between August 15, 2011 and July 22, 2013, which means she loses any title, medal or prize money she received during this period.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport considered that Chernova breached doping rules between August 2009 and July 2013.
