Three commuters hurt as Mumbai local derails
Mumbai, Aug 25: Three commuters sustained minor injuries when four coaches of a Harbour Line suburban train bound for Andheri derailed near Mahim here on Friday, officials said.
After the derailment, services on the Andheri-Wadala sector on Central Railway were suspended, hitting hard thousands of people travelling at the start of the 12-day Ganeshotsav celebrations.
The injured commuters were given first aid and allowed to proceed, said an official. Work has been taken up to restore the services.
