HC refuses interim relief to disqualified AAP MLAs
New Delhi, Jan 19
The Delhi High Court on Friday refused to grant interim relief to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs against the Election Commission's recommendation for their disqualification on grounds of holding office of profit as Parliamentary Secretaries.
Justice Rekha Palli declining immediate relief to six AAP MLAs, who had approached the court against the disqualification, posted the matter for Monday for hearing.
Earlier in the day, the Election Commission recommended to President Ram Nath Kovind the disqualification of 20 AAP MLAs for allegedly holding office of profit.
