Military plane carrying 200 crashes in Algeria
Algiers, April 11: A military plane carrying over 200 people crashed in Algeria on Wednesday after taking off, media reports said.
The crash took place at the Boufarik military airport near Algiers. The airport is a base for the country's Air Force, the BBC reported. Footage captured by witnesses showed a huge plume of black smoke billowing from near the runway.
TV news reports said 14 ambulances were at the scene and the injured were being rushed to hospitals.
