President, PM condole death of children in UP accident
New Delhi, April 26 President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoled the loss of lives of 13 school children in an accident at a railway crossing in Kushinagar in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday.
Thirteen school children were killed and six others seriously injured in the accident that occurred around 7.10 a.m. when the children were headed to school.
"Shocked to learn about the horrific accident involving a bus carrying innocent school children in Kushinagar. Thoughts and prayers with the bereaved families and with those injured," the President tweeted.
Modi conveyed his deep pain over the incident and asked the Railways and Uttar Pradesh government to take appropriate action in the matter.
