Documentary on Shankar Mahadevan wins award at Toronto
'Decoding Shankar' directed by Deepti Pillay Sivan has won an award at the 46th Toronto International Film Festival. Earlier, the film was feature in international film festivals in South Korea, Germany, Spain and Sweden
The 45-minute documentary was produced by Rajeev Mehrotra on behalf of the Public Service Broadcasting Trust. The film documents the life rhythm of Shankar Mahadevan donning the roles of singer, musician, teacher, family man and food lover. Amitabh Bachchan, Gulzar, Javed Akhtar and Aamir Khan also speak about Shankar Mahadevan's genius.
