Indian Handcraft Styles going global!

Sonal Gadhavi presented a Sustainable Hand Woven / Hand Spun Collection “Soulful Weaves” under her Brand Pinkaari with a mission to empower Woman Weavers & Artisans. Sonal is very happy presenting her khadi Collection made using Ikat weave, vegetable dye & hand block printing techniques in 3 -fashion shows between September 15 th to September 18th 2022


 

At first She presented in New York - GW23NY at AWESOME TV’S Designers Showcase with AWESOME TOP MODEL HUNT during NYFW organized by Mr Ritesh Parikh. The models wearing the collection loved style with comfort and feel of the fabric used in all the looks. audience


She also presented her design collection on invitation with the co-founder her daughter Tanisha Gadhavi in Annual Gala event organized by Association of Indians in America at Muttontown golf club, Long Island, New York organized by Mr. Harish Thakkar and beautifully Choreographed by Nishi Bahl CEO at Panache Entertainment Inc.



Additionally, Sonal showcased her collection at “Tiranga – a celebration of Diversity with cultural programs”, Organized by Indian Cultural Center of South Jersey on invitation by Rup Chakravarty on Sun Sept 18th.



Sonal is very excited reaching her goal to create awareness about Sustainable fashion & Khadi via her trendy, fashion forward designs among the youths of America. She believes that Fashion should be purposeful and empowering. She is passionate about bringing Hand woven / Hand spun khadi wear fit to all age and body types for every occasion. 




Pinkaari ‘s mission is to make handmade products a lifestyle, to support and encourage good craftsmanship; through employment and education opportunities for women, thereby creating a strong base for skilled employment and sustainable fashion.
