GIC Proud of India Celebrating Historic Double at the Oscars.
New York:Global Indian Council President P C Mathew, the Cabinet Members, and the Cinema & Visual Media Chairperson Indian National award winner Tom George Kolath, and on behalf of the entire members of the Center of Excellence “Red Carpet,†congratulated the 95th Oscar winners. They inspire and motivate all the film lovers of India. The award ceremony started last night at 8 PM at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles. It was indeed a proud evening for every Indian. This is because the song ‘Natu Natu’ from the movie RRR won the award for Best Original Song. Since this song was nominated for the Oscar, all Indians wanted this award to come to their homeland. Today every Indian’s dream came true. Ram Charan, Jr. NTR, and SS Rajamouli were also at the award function. Also, the Indian short film ‘The Elephant Whispers,’ directed by Karthiki Gonsalves, won the award for the best short film.
The entertainment community and film fans worldwide turn their attention to the Academy Awards. Bringing this Oscars to India creates more Interest, and anticipation builds to a fevered pitch leading up to the Oscar telecast when hundreds of millions of movie lovers tune in to watch the glamorous ceremony and learn who will receive the highest honors in filmmaking.
