The incident took place in Kaduthuruthy, Kottayam. A young woman and her family from Kaduthuruthy have filed a complaint against a groom, a native of Ranni.

The wedding took place on January 23. According to the bride, the groom left her at her house the very next day and then traveled abroad. Following this, the bride and her family approached the police with a complaint.

Based on the complaint, the Kaduthuruthy police have registered a case. The police have stated that there are several suspicious aspects surrounding the case.
