The central government has imposed a ban on 35 allopathic drug formulations. The banned list includes medications for lifestyle diseases as well as life-saving drugs. These are combinations of around 35 drugs that have been prohibited by the Centre.
Medications used for conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and heart attacks are among those included in the banned list. The Centre found that these drugs could cause serious adverse health effects. It also stated that several states had granted approval for these drugs without proper evaluation.
