Sensex trades flat in early session
Mumbai, June 8 A benchmark index of Indian equities markets, the 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex), on Monday was trading flat at 15.25 points or 0.06 percent up during the morning session.
The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading at 0.85 points or 0.01 percent down at 8,113.85 points.
The Sensex of the S&P Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 26,814.31 points, was trading at 26,783.74 points (at 9.19 a.m.) in the early session, up 15.25 points or 0.06 percent from the previous day's close at 26,768.49 points.
The Sensex has touched a high of 26,827.06 points and a low of 26,740.03 points in the trade so far.
Heavy selling pressure was seen in auto, banking and oil and gas sectors, while some good buying was observed in the metal sector.
