India declare at overnight score of 462/6
Fatullah (Bangladesh), June 13 India captain Virat Kohli along with the team management decided to declare the first innings on their overnight score of 462/6 and put Bangladesh in to bat in the one-off cricket Test here on early Saturday morning.
Rain had curtailed play on the first and third day and had totally washed out the second day leading India to declare and give their bowlers and fielders some match practice. Though the morning has been sunny, rain has also been predicted for Day 4.
Openers Murali Vijay (150) and Shikhar Dhawan (173) had top-scored for the visitors with middle-order bat Ajinkya Rahane also playing a handy 98.
Bangladeshi pacers were totally unsuccessful but ace tweaker Shakib Al Hasan clinched another four-wicket haul, giving away 105 runs from 24.3 overs. Leg-spinner Jubair Hossain also picked up 2/113 from his 19 overs.
