Indian equities open higher in morning trade
Mumbai, June 18 A benchmark index for Indian equities, the sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), on Thursday opened higher and was trading at 27,066.74 points in the morning trade.
The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading higher at 8,149.85 points with a gain of 58.30 points or 0.72 percent.
The 30-share Sensex opened at 26,944.47 points, against the previous close at 26,917.56 points. At 10.00 a.m. it was ruling at 27,064.87 points, with a gain of 232.21 points, or 0.87 percent.
