Barzilian defender Silva wary of 2011 Copa America repeat
Santiago, June 22 : Brazil defender Thiago Silva has warned his side against underestimating Paraguay if they are to avoid another upset in the Copa America quarter-finals like the one four years before in Argentina.
Paraguay ousted Brazil last time around in the Copa America quarter-finals 0-2 on penalties, where Silva had skippered the side.
"They will be a tough opponent. Everyone who saw the last Copa America, noted that Paraguay reached the final on merit, eliminating us on the way," Silva was quoted as saying by goal.com after Brazil defeated Venezuela 2-1 to top Group C.
Brazil topped the group to face Paraguay in the last eight stage. The match will be played on Saturday.
"I'm not saying it will be a rematch but it is logical that it will have more taste."
