Barcelona's Sergio Busquets to sign new five-year deal

Cairo, Sep 21 : Spanish midfielder Sergio Busquets will sign a new five-year contract with Barcelona on Thursday, the Catalan club announced on Wednesday.

Barca explained that the 28-year-old international "will be prolonging his relations" with the club until June 30, 2021,report Efe.

The deal includes an option of a further two-year increase to extend the contract until 2022-23 season, "depending on the number of games" Busquets will play.

Busquets's contract stipulates a buyout clause of 200 million euros ($223 million), according to the Spanish club's official website.

The defensive midfielder won several titles with Barcelona, including La Liga, Copa del Rey and UEFA Champions League, among others.
