New Delhi, Oct 17: Panasonic India on Monday launched a new smartphone "Eluga Tapp" with a faster front fingerprint scanner at Rs 8,990.
The 4G VoLTE-enabled smartphone features 5-inch full-HD display and is powered by Quad-core processor clocked at 1.25GHz coupled with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of inbuilt storage along with expandable storage capacity up to 32GB.
The phone sports 8MP rear camera and 5MP front selfie shooter.
"The fast front fingerprint sensor in 'Eluga Tapp' gives you a convenient way to unlock your device and secure your personal data. The scanner will be able to recognise your fingers and thumbs in a split second," said Pankaj Rana, Business Head-Mobility Division, Panasonic India in a statement.
The phone also comes with an add-on security feature "Android for Work" that allows users to segregate the business apps from personal apps and protect personal data.
"By introducing Panasonic Eluga Tapp we plan to make a presence in the tier II and tier III cities," Rana added.
