Key Indian equity indices trade lower during early session
Mumbai, Oct 19: Key Indian equity market indices opened in red on Wednesday on cautious approach of investors as they await more quarterly earnings.
The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) was trading 53.58 points or 0.19 per cent lower during the early session.
The wider 51-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading 12.65 points or 0.15 per cent lower at 8,665.25 points.
The BSE Sensex, which opened at 28,112.36 points, was trading at 27,997.30 points (at 11.07 a.m.) in the early session, lower 53.58 points or 0.19 per cent from the previous day's close at 28,050.88 points.
The Sensex touched a high of 28,131.07 points and a low of 27,976.73 points in the trade so far.
