Mazda to recall 24,799 vehicles over defective doors
Beijing, Oct 28 : Mazda will recall 24,799 Mazda6 sedans in China due to a fault with the rear doors, the country's top quality watchdog said here on Friday.
The affected vehicles were built between October 12, 2009 and December 23, 2015, according to a report filed with the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.
The rear door latches may crack due to metal erosion, and in extreme cases could lead in injury to passengers, Xinhua news agency reported.
The recall will start from April 14, 2017 and Mazda dealers will change the defective parts for customers free of charge.
