Will rectify our mistakes in coming matches: Real Madrid's Bale
Warsaw, Nov 3: Real Madrid star Gareth Bale has said the Spanish football side isn't happy after drawing 3-3 with Poland's Legia Warsaw and are looking to rectify their mistakes in the upcoming Champions League matches.
Defending champions Real Madrid wasted a solid start in the match, leading 2-0 in the first half to be held to a frustrating draw here on Wednesday.
Bale scored in the opening minutes of the game at the Polish Army Stadium before setting up Karim Benzema to make it 2-0.
After dominating the 40-minutes of the game, Madrid lost concentration and Warsaw bounced back in style.
Vadis Odjidja and Miroslav Radovic struck before Thibault Moulin also scored from outside the area in the 83rd minute.
In the dying minutes of the game, Madrid'd Kovacic then netted from near the edge of the box to secure a point for his team.
"We're obviously not happy with the result because we had control of the game but then lost concentration," Bale was quoted as saying by Spanish paper Marca after the match.
"The game was a little different without fans being present, but that's no excuse. We must take the positives, analyse the mistakes that we made and correct them going forward," he added.
Bale also echoed the words of coach Zidane that at this level if you lose such matches you end up being punished like that.
"I agree with what Zinedine Zidane said - at this level, you end up being punished if you lose intensity and focus. We have to improve defensively. This has been a lesson for us, and I'm sure we can do better," Bale was quoted as saying by Marca.
